Lead Product Owner (Energy)

What you will do

• Own the Middle Office digital product vision, roadmap, intake, backlog, and release planning.
• Prioritize capabilities across risk oversight, performance measurement, data topology, analytics, workflow, and automation.
• Translate complex business priorities into governed, scalable technology solutions and measurable business value.
• Coordinate stakeholders across Middle Office, Digital, Commercial technology, data management, architecture, analytics, and delivery teams.
• Lead decisions involving ownership, dependencies, user acceptance testing, process change, technology direction, and implementation readiness.
• Champion Agile product development and represent customer needs throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Product Owner certification required; Product Management experience preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience documenting and improving business processes, data flows, business rules, controls, ownership, and system interactions across cross-functional teams.
• Experience leading requirements definition, user acceptance testing, data and business-rule validation, issue resolution, and implementation readiness for complex technology solutions.
• Experience in energy, commodity trading, Middle Office, commercial risk, performance measurement, data platforms, analytics, or governance is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in oil and gas, refining, midstream, commodity trading, or the energy industry.
• Knowledge of operational P&L, mark-to-market valuation, P&L attribution, priced-to-GAAP reconciliation, exposure monitoring, or risk-limit controls.
• Experience with energy trading and risk management systems, ERP systems, market-data feeds, data integration, reporting, data lineage, and data governance.
