System Design Engineer (Spacecraft Propulsion)

What you will do

• Lead the full development lifecycle of custom spacecraft propulsion systems, from requirements and concept development through detailed design, integration, testing, and delivery.
• Define and manage system-level requirements, verification methods, technical budgets, and propulsion system architecture.
• Develop detailed propulsion system designs and support assembly, integration, and testing activities.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers and collaborate with project managers and subsystem experts.

Requirements

• Degree in aerospace, mechanical, systems engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• At least three years of experience designing and developing spacecraft systems or comparable hardware.
• Experience engaging with customers and working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proficiency with computer-aided design; SolidWorks experience is preferred.
• Experience using MATLAB, Python, or comparable tools for engineering analysis, modelling, data processing, or workflow automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with chemical or electric spacecraft propulsion systems.
• Hands-on experience assembling, integrating, and testing aerospace hardware.
• Working knowledge of ECSS, NASA, or comparable industry standards.
• Experience collaborating across geographically distributed engineering teams and delivering flight hardware through rapid development cycles.
