Field Demonstration Operations Specialist (Defense)

Location: On-site in Paris or Toulouse, France; frequent international travel is required, including travel to degraded security environments and short-notice deployments.

What you will do

• Prepare, verify, pack, and track drones, ground control stations, batteries, tooling, and other demonstration equipment.
• Own and execute operational and equipment checklists, update them after missions, and continuously formalize field processes.
• Organize equipment shipments and returns, prepare transport documentation, and coordinate with carriers and supply-chain partners.
• Install and dismantle demonstration sites, support pilots during flight operations, and act as the on-site contact for ground teams, host-nation staff, and clients.
• Monitor the demonstration fleet, perform first-level maintenance, and keep hardware mission-ready.
• Prepare authorizations and mission reports, manage expenses and travel bookings, and maintain planning and mission-tracking tools.

Requirements

• Military background or experience in the defense sector, logistics, field support, or operations.
• Understanding of the defense ecosystem and commitment to national and European sovereignty.
• Versatility, resourcefulness, rigor with equipment and procedures, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Professional English is mandatory.
• A French driving licence (Permis B) is mandatory.
• Good physical condition for outdoor work and load carrying; availability for frequent international travel and short-notice deployments.

Nice to have

• Heavy goods vehicle licence (Poids Lourd).
• Experience piloting drones or working in the UAS/C-UAS ecosystem.
• Experience shipping sensitive or dual-use equipment.
