Software Engineer for Space Projects (Space)

Location: Hybrid working model, with up to 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area. A relocation package is available for candidates coming from another country.

hirify.global develops and operates engineering and software solutions for critical space infrastructures, including the Galileo satellite navigation programme.

What you will do

• Design and develop software for Galileo ground segment systems.
• Automate infrastructure and middleware deployments for Control Centre platforms.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines and development environments.
• Develop monitoring, operational, and security tools.
• Validate, test, and deploy applications and services.
• Improve the security, reliability, and performance of critical systems in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Linux or UNIX environments.
• Basic programming skills in Python and/or Java.
• Minimum Spanish listening comprehension is required to follow conversations and meetings; speaking and writing are not required.
• Interest in software development, systems administration, and technologies supporting critical infrastructures.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional programming languages.
• Basic knowledge of automation, scripting, and CI/CD concepts.
