Information Security Student (Cloud Security)

Location: St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, or Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Develop an understanding of vulnerability assessment and cloud security posture management risk assessment.
• Analyze and prioritize security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure and help coordinate remediation.
• Enforce cloud security posture management findings.
• Work with security and operational teams to ensure security standards are met.
• Assess and improve security processes and tool usage to strengthen the security posture.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled and continuing enrollment in a diploma or degree program in Security Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Interest in threat and vulnerability management, container security, logging and monitoring tools, cloud security best practices, and security architecture.
• Strong analytical skills and curiosity about how security protects technology and people.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and developing security best practices.
• A recent transcript must be uploaded with the resume.

Nice to have

• AWS Cloud experience, including the Well-Architected Framework and security best practices.
• Development or cloud development experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools, container security tools, or monitoring platforms.
• Security certifications such as Security+, CEH, GSEC, AWS SSA, or equivalent.
