Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Elastic hybrid model in Poland, with an office visit once a month in Warsaw, Kraków, or the Tricity area

Salary: 1,000–1,280 PLN per day + VAT on a B2B contract

What you will do

• Build highly scalable and highly available cloud-based applications for logistics, e-commerce, and fintech use cases.
• Develop backend and frontend features using Python, Node.js, React, and Next.js.
• Design event-driven systems and asynchronous communication using Apache Kafka and REST APIs.
• Implement distributed systems patterns including Saga, Outbox, and Idempotency.
• Work with state machines, authorization flows, ledger, and settlement processes.
• Collaborate with an international, cross-functional engineering team on software used by millions of users.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Software Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Node.js.
• Strong full-stack experience across backend and frontend development.
• Experience with React and/or Next.js, Kafka, event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and asynchronous communication.
• Understanding of distributed systems patterns, state machines, authorization flows, ledger, and settlement processes.
• English at minimum B2 level and availability for the required hybrid office visits in Poland.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software security and compliance requirements, including PCI DSS and PSD2.
• Familiarity with KYC/KYB processes.
• Experience working in international and cross-functional engineering teams.
