Senior Manager Continuity & Response

Location: Hybrid, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office in Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, or Manchester, United Kingdom

Salary: £85,493–£100,580 per year

What you will do

• Lead response and recovery capabilities to ensure preparedness and effective recovery during disruption.
• Drive exercising, testing, assurance, and continuous improvement activities across the organisation.
• Develop and lead a specialist Business Continuity team, building capability and future-focused ways of working.
• Use data, tooling, and automation to improve resilience insight, assurance, and decision-making.
• Connect resilience activity across technology, data, suppliers, operations, people, and property.
• Provide guidance and constructive challenge to senior leaders, executive forums, and regulatory stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience delivering Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, Crisis Management, or Recovery activities in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong expertise in Business Continuity and response and recovery planning, with the ability to embed practical and measurable resilience outcomes.
• Experience leading teams, developing capability, and providing clarity through complex challenges.
• Ability to use data, tooling, and management information for assurance, oversight, and informed decision-making.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior, executive, and regulatory audiences.
• Experience designing, delivering, or overseeing exercising, testing, and assurance activities.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting enterprise-wide exercising, crisis response, or recovery activity.
• Understanding of how cloud technology, artificial intelligence, data, and supplier networks influence resilience capabilities.
• Established external networks in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, or Technology Resilience communities.
