Quantity Surveyor (Highways)

What you will do

• Support the Commercial Manager and contract delivery teams with project delivery, profitability, cash management, cost control, and reporting.
• Assist with applications for payment, credit control, income forecasting, pricing of scope changes, and change control.
• Maintain project records and review weekly site documentation, including allocation sheets and site diaries.
• Support cost-to-complete, budget, forecasting, costing, and monthly financial performance reviews.
• Assist with the full subcontract cycle, subcontract documentation, KPI reporting, and timely payment processes.
• Attend project progress meetings and contribute to continuous improvement, lean working, and collaborative planning.

Requirements

• Degree educated or qualified to HND/HNC equivalent level.
• Suitable post-degree experience in a contracting commercial department, preferably within the power industry.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret construction contracts, mainly NEC3 and NEC4.
• Proficiency with Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
• Commitment to professional development and the ability to work collaboratively with commercial and operational teams.

Nice to have

• Working towards a professional qualification.
• Driving licence.
