Engineering Pod Lead for Growth

Location: New York, hybrid

Salary: $315,000–$385,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead a pod of four to six engineers while remaining deeply involved in building and delivering production software.
• Ship the Growth roadmap across the website, waitlist, booking, payments, referrals, membership tiers, B2B, localization, and clinic or market launches.
• Set technical direction, architecture, and instrumentation for rapid experimentation and scalable growth.
• Own engineering quality, testing, releases, performance, security, and resilience against fraud and abuse.
• Hire, mentor, and provide direct feedback while improving the pod’s standards and technical judgment.
• Use dashboards and experiments to improve acquisition, conversion, revenue, and member growth.

Requirements

• Deep experience building consumer products across the stack.
• Significant depth in at least one of payments, growth systems, internationalization, or web platforms.
• Experience owning and improving a funnel, conversion rate, or revenue line.
• Experience running disciplined experiments and distinguishing meaningful results from noise.
• Experience leading engineers as a tech lead or equivalent and raising team standards.
• Daily use of AI coding tools, with shipped work demonstrating that experience.

• Building referral, invite, or viral growth loops.
• Experience in healthcare, fintech, or another regulated or trust-critical domain.
• Experience with fraud, abuse, and bot resilience on public surfaces.
