Section Chief (Cleanroom Resist Ink Printing)

Location: Primarily office based in Taiwan; work involves an ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) cleanroom environment.

Salary: NT$1,440,000–NT$2,250,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and optimize precision resist ink, screen, stencil, and thick-film printing processes on ceramic substrates.
• Control ink viscosity, mesh tension, snap-off distance, squeegee pressure, printing speed, alignment, curing, and baking parameters.
• Manage cleanroom contamination controls, gowning procedures, material storage, ink mixing and degassing, and lot traceability.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain high-precision screen printers, dispensing systems, curing equipment, and inspection tools.
• Improve yield and line efficiency through Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, defect reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Engineering, and Production on NPI, substrate qualification, troubleshooting, SOPs, and technician training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 8 years of engineering experience in cleanroom manufacturing with strict particulate and contamination controls.
• Hands-on experience with screen, stencil, or thick-film printing on ceramic substrates.
• Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry, rheology, ink-substrate interactions, organic vehicles, and metal-glass dynamics.
• Experience compounding, blending, or adjusting resist ink formulations, including solvents, additives, binders, viscosity, thixotropy, and solids content.
• Mandarin Chinese and English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000, or IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Experience with statistical data analysis and design of experiments.
