Senior Accounting Analyst (Entertainment and Sports)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey office, with a minimum of three office days per week

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 yearly

What you will do

• Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities for Entertainment & Sports entities.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting analyses, and financial reporting.
• Analyze TV Networks accounting activities, including production, marketing, revenue, and expenses.
• Perform ASC 606 revenue-recognition analysis, including contract review and performance-obligation assessment.
• Execute SOX controls, maintain documentation, and support internal and external audits.
• Improve and automate accounting processes, reporting tools, and financial systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting and/or finance experience, preferably in media, entertainment, television, sports, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general accounting principles, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet close deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to work from the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP, BlackLine, or other enterprise ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Experience in a SOX-compliant public company environment.
• Interest in process improvement, automation, and finance transformation.
