Technical Project Leader Enhanced Awareness Systems

Location: Donauwörth, Germany; collaboration with engineering teams in Marignane, France. Mobile working and flexible working arrangements are available.

hirify.global Helicopters develops helicopters and airworthy aerospace products, including situational awareness systems for hirify.global Helicopters eVTOL platforms.

What you will do

• Lead transversal product development for situational awareness systems across hirify.global Helicopters programs.
• Consolidate platform requirements and define product strategy, development logic, and planning.
• Act as the technical authority for decisions, trade-offs, prioritization, and escalation.
• Define and deploy systems engineering practices, including requirements, configuration, change management, and IVV strategy.
• Manage project progress, milestones, risks, opportunities, suppliers, internal stakeholders, and end customers.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in Donauwörth and Marignane through development, integration, qualification, and certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a comparable field with extensive additional experience and training, or a relevant doctorate; alternatively, a master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering with extended experience and further education.
• Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with systems engineering methodologies.
• Experience designing, developing, engineering, or integrating complex avionics systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements engineering, and avionics integration.
• Leadership, technical decision-making, stakeholder management, supplier management, and excellent communication skills.
• Business-fluent or negotiation-level English required. German, French, or Spanish is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.
