VP Ground Systems (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own the global launch and test infrastructure strategy and roadmap.
• Identify, develop, and secure launch sites, test sites, infrastructure opportunities, partnerships, leases, and long-term site access arrangements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for launch pads, launch complexes, engine test stands, stage test facilities, propellant infrastructure, and ground support equipment.
• Drive infrastructure programs from concept development and site selection through permitting, design, construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
• Build relationships with governments, regulators, spaceports, industrial partners, suppliers, customers, and other strategic stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on schedule, and within budget while supporting executive and board decisions on investments.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in aerospace, defense, energy, industrial infrastructure, process facilities, or comparable complex engineering environments.
• Track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery organizations, capital investment programs, permitting, construction, and facility development.
• Strong commercial, contract negotiation, systems-thinking, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
• Fluent English at C1 level required.

Nice to have

• Experience with launch infrastructure, test infrastructure, spaceport facilities, or international infrastructure partnerships.
• Experience negotiating with governments, regulators, or public infrastructure stakeholders.
• Experience with cryogenic systems, propulsion testing, industrial process facilities, or safety-critical infrastructure.
• Experience building and operating engineering organizations during rapid growth.
