English to Japanese Linguist & Copy Editor for Product, Marketing & UI Content

Location: Remote, worldwide

Expected volume: 5,000+ words per week

What you will do

• Translate English content into Japanese across marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and legal domains.
• Copy-edit and post-edit machine-translated content.
• Work with a client-specific CAT tool after completing onboarding training.
• Deliver more than 5,000 words per week while meeting quality and deadline requirements.
• Communicate reliably, respond to feedback, and complete revisions in a fast-paced localization environment.

Requirements

• Native or near-native Japanese proficiency and excellent command of English.
• At least two years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or at least five years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree.
• Demonstrated English-to-Japanese translation experience across varied content types.
• Experience using CAT tools.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback.
