Research & Development Industrial Placement (Scientist - MSc) 2027

Location: Newcastle Innovation Centre, United Kingdom; onsite 12-month placement from 5 July 2027 to 30 June 2028.

Salary: £31,500 per year.

What you will do

• Work on live R&D projects for Fabric Care and Home Care products.
• Develop and test products in hands-on laboratories and pilot plants.
• Take ownership of specific projects and real business challenges from the start.
• Collaborate with R&D, product development and technology teams.
• Complete a customized learning plan with coaching, mentoring and formal training.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an MSc in a scientific or engineering discipline with a placement year as part of the degree, or otherwise available for a 12-month placement.
• Strong interest in research, innovation and scientific problem-solving.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and achievements in academic or non-academic activities.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Must have personal UK right to work for the full placement period without sponsorship from P&G, valid for at least 37.5 hours per week.
• Must be available for the complete period from 5 July 2027 to 30 June 2028.
