Adjunct - Interior Design and Interior Architecture (SketchUp/Revit)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; courses meet Monday through Friday on Kirkwood's main campus and online

Pay: $1,314 per credit hour

What you will do

• Teach foundational concepts in interior design and interior architecture.
• Provide instruction in SketchUp, Revit, and other industry-standard technologies.
• Assist with interior design labs and maintain classroom materials and facilities.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop course syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessments.
• Communicate regularly with department staff, students, and faculty.
• Enforce laboratory safety rules and support an inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture, or 6,000 hours of recent relevant interior design experience.
• Alternatively, an associate degree in Interior Design plus at least 3,000 hours of recent relevant experience in the instructional area.
• Experience with SketchUp, Revit, and other industry-standard technologies.
• Availability to work on Kirkwood's main campus in Cedar Rapids; Monday and Wednesday availability between 9:05 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. is preferred.
• Official transcripts are required if offered a position.
