Kitchen & Bath Designer (Luxury Retail)

Location: Houston, Texas; physical retail in-store role. The position also includes in-home design visits and requires availability for mornings, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Salary: $25.50–$27.50 per hour; compensation is also described as a $26.50 hourly base plus substantial quarterly sales bonuses.

What you will do

• Deliver luxury kitchen and bathroom designs and installations, including stonework, plumbing, appliances, and custom product development.
• Manage a book of business for trade and consumer clients, build long-term relationships, and prospect new customers.
• Conduct virtual, in-home, and in-store design appointments, preparing moodboards, space plans, product curation, and 2D/3D room views.
• Coordinate procurement with vendors and advise customers on fabrics, finishes, performance, texture, durability, and market trends.
• Use sales analytics and design software to support store profitability, customer satisfaction, and sales KPIs.
• Support store operations, including floor sets, replenishment, substitutions, and product changes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of design experience in a design firm or high-end furniture retailer.
• At least 1 year of kitchen and bath design experience, plus retail sales experience.
• Professional portfolio and a sales-driven track record.
• Experience managing large-scale luxury B2C and trade projects; knowledge of luxury plumbing.
• Strong organization, communication, self-motivation, relationship management, and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license required for in-home design visits; ability to stand, walk, handle materials, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Perigold supplier brands, materials, construction, and custom programs.
• Experience with Salesforce, DesignFiles, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, CRM, POS, and design software.
• Google Workspace or Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in art, architecture, or interior design.
