Computational Research Intern (AI)

Location: Emeryville, California, United States; hybrid with 2–3 days on-site per week

What you will do

• Design and implement computational approaches for bioinformatics and machine learning research.
• Analyze large-scale genomic and protein datasets to identify biological insights and capabilities.
• Collaborate with machine learning, protein engineering, and biology researchers.
• Document and present research findings, with potential for publication in leading journals and conferences.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and Jupyter.
• Experience with machine learning, large-scale data analysis, genomics, or protein bioinformatics.
• Strong problem-solving skills, scientific curiosity, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
