TL;DR
Estimator (HVAC): Developing accurate cost estimates and equipment proposals for commercial HVAC systems with an accent on technical equipment selection, pricing, controls, and construction requirements. Location: Flint, Michigan, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with flexible work location on Fridays
Annual base salary: $72,611.66–$101,394.99

What you will do
- Review plans and specifications and develop accurate cost estimates for equipment, materials, labor, subcontractors, and construction activities.
- Select, price, and integrate HVAC equipment, controls, and related services for each project.
- Identify project requirements, constraints, and responsibilities for complete HVAC system design and installation.
- Develop and discuss technical solutions with account managers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
- Prepare and review proposals, equipment submittals, and equipment selections.
- Support pricing strategy, sales proposals, and project fulfillment schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business management preferred, with 3–5 years of experience in estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC, or construction management; equivalent experience is considered.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with an acceptable driving record.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature controls.
- Four-year degree or relevant practical industry experience.
