Service Estimator (HVAC)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with the option to choose the work location on Fridays.

Annual base salary: $78,406.66–$109,479.99.

What you will do

• Create quotes for service agreements and quoted HVAC service work in support of Service Account Managers and Controls Service Account Managers.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, subcontractors, purchased equipment, labor, startup, service work, and other construction activities.
• Develop scopes of work, system sketches, points lists, proposals, exclusions, and vendor or subcontractor quote packages.
• Perform equipment take-offs and pricing, verifying quantities, sizing, configurations, voltage, and options.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and project risks while maintaining awareness of industry standards.
• Develop subcontractor scopes, negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing, and lead pre-bid scope and strategy meetings with Account Managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related field with 3–5 years of related experience; alternatively, a technical certificate with 5 years of experience or relevant HVAC Technician experience combined with education.
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC and building services.
• Knowledge of construction systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to organize data and prepare proposals.
• Experience managing projects on time and on budget, prioritizing tasks, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform.
• Experience working directly with building owners.
