Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel for International Employment

What you will do

• Advise People and Legal leadership on international employment matters across the full employee lifecycle.
• Support hiring structures, employment agreements, fixed-term contracts, works councils, contractors, and EOR arrangements across jurisdictions.
• Lead legal support for employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, redundancies, and terminations.
• Advise on cross-border mobility, international assignments, secondments, remote work across borders, employment tax, and immigration implications.
• Support international expansion, compensation and benefits structures, equity plan compliance, and local employment frameworks.
• Support governance, restructuring, M&A, investment, financing, and oversight of international subsidiaries.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 10+ years of post-qualification experience in international employment law.
• Significant in-house experience at a multinational company or a combination of top-tier law firm and in-house roles.
• Deep employment law experience across EMEA and APAC, including international equity compensation, securities law, and tax considerations.
• Experience with collective employment law, works councils, co-determination, EOR providers, and GDPR in employment and HR data practices.
• Experience managing external counsel across multiple jurisdictions and advising senior stakeholders on sensitive matters.
• Fluent English required.
