Triage RN Access - Part Time Nights (Healthcare)

Location: Remote work site in Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: USD 36.50–58.40 per hour

What you will do

• Provide clinically expert virtual triage through telephone calls and electronic messages.
• Assess patient complaints using evidence-based triage protocols and recommend appropriate care and next steps.
• Prioritize incoming communications, involve providers when appropriate, and complete the communication cycle.
• Document patient communications in the electronic medical record and schedule provider visits according to protocols.
• Develop individualized care plans, support patient advocacy, and resolve service breakdowns.
• Participate in staff orientation, process improvement, and departmental quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• At least two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Illinois.
• Current AHA BLS Provider certification.
• Excellent customer service, communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Availability for overnight shifts, holidays, and weekends is required.

Nice to have

• BSN degree.
• Specialty certification upon eligibility.
