Forward Deployed Engineer (Geospatial Navigation)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom; occasional travel to customer sites may be required.

What you will do

• Assess customer geospatial navigation requirements and business objectives, then design tailored solutions using GNSS and INS technologies.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead proof-of-concept projects by defining success criteria, creating implementation plans, and validating solutions in real-world scenarios.
• Gather and analyse technical requirements, recommend best practices, and provide product feedback to development teams.
• Collaborate with sales, product development, marketing, and customer success throughout the pre-sales cycle.
• Support customer implementations, manage project timelines, provide progress updates, and resolve product issues and escalations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in pre-sales or technical sales, preferably in the technology industry.
• Strong understanding of GNSS, INS, cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity concepts, and related technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and customer relationship skills.
• Experience supporting surveying, maritime, or robotics customers is preferred; experience with integrated CRM systems and Matlab is valuable.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.
