MCP & Memory Intern (AI)

What you will do

• Build and improve MCP servers and clients, including tool definitions, inputs and outputs, error handling, and runnable examples.
• Experiment with agent memory, including what information is saved, retrieved, and used to improve task quality.
• Integrate tools and memory into agent loops and investigate confusion, latency, and incorrect behavior.
• Create documentation, fixtures, smoke tests, and focused fixes that help teammates move faster.
• Turn rough ideas into working implementations and refine them through observation and feedback.
• Pair with experienced colleagues and take ownership of subsequent implementation slices.

Requirements

• Comfort reading and writing Python, with willingness to improve quickly.
• Curiosity about AI agents, tools, prompts, context windows, and real-task performance.
• Interest in Model Context Protocol, including how servers expose tools and clients call them.
• Interest in agent memory, retrieval, caching, and conversation state.
• Ability to investigate vague problems, build small experiments, and communicate findings clearly.
• Willingness to practice readable code, small tests, documentation, and feedback-driven iteration.

Nice to have

• Experience building or using an MCP server or client.
• Experience with agent frameworks or tool calling.
• Experience with memory, caching, or conversation state in a product.
• Experience working in fast-moving environments and helping teammates get unblocked.
