Corporate Security Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Corporate Security Engineer (AI/Cybersecurity): Designing and automating technical controls to secure the corporate workforce and infrastructure with an accent on identity, endpoints, and SaaS security. Focus on scaling security automation using Python and Terraform, governing AI tool usage, and hardening the identity stack.

Location: Hybrid (San Francisco or New York). Must work from the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $220,000 - $260,000 per year

What you will do

• Harden identity and access management (Okta, Google Workspace) using phishing-resistant MFA, strong SSO, and SCIM lifecycles.
• Manage the endpoint security program for a macOS-first fleet, utilizing MDM, EDR, and configuration baselines.
• Secure AI tool usage, including governance of LLMs and AI agents to prevent unauthorized access and data exfiltration.
• Reduce SaaS risk at scale through SSPM tooling and custom automation to detect risky OAuth grants and configuration drift.
• Develop automation for access reviews, onboarding/offboarding, and audit evidence collection using Python and Terraform.
• Collaborate with Detection & Response to ensure corporate systems provide necessary telemetry and assist in incident response.

Requirements

• Experience at a fast-growing tech or AI company where security programs scaled rapidly.
• Background in IT engineering, SRE, or production engineering with a transition into security engineering.
• Proven experience building internal security tooling or workflows that improve employee or developer experience.
• Must be based in or be able to work from San Francisco or New York.
