Senior Software Engineer - Frontend/Backend

Location: Remote within the United States; the remote workforce is described as nationwide.

Salary: $30–$53 per hour

What you will do

• Own and contribute to application codebases with strong accountability and technical expertise.
• Maintain awareness of adjacent technical systems and coordinate integrations across ecosystems.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues, using incidents to drive education and system improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the team.
• Communicate technical issues, developments, design documents, and system diagrams to clients, stakeholders, partners, and engineers.
• Participate in technical interviews and potentially lead small or temporary team structures and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of engineering experience; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Expert-level knowledge in at least one technical area, such as frontend, backend, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience owning software contributions, resolving system issues, evaluating technical approaches, and influencing engineering processes.
• Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States.
