Field CTO (Azure)

Location: Remote - US; willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

What you will do

• Set technology vision and multi-year transformation strategies for strategic enterprise accounts.
• Advise CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and transformation leaders on technology investment, risk, governance, and measurable business value.
• Represent the practice in executive briefings, conferences, partner events, analyst sessions, and other external forums.
• Shape offerings, reference architectures, playbooks, accelerators, and technical standards across Applications, Cloud Platforms, and Data & AI.
• Influence major pursuits, solution strategy, competitive positioning, and executive-level client decisions.
• Lead through matrix influence across advisory, pursuit, engineering, delivery, practice, and partner teams.

Requirements

• Experience as a Field CTO, Principal CTO, Chief Architect, Distinguished Architect, or equivalent external-facing technology leader.
• Executive-level experience advising complex enterprise technology organizations and building peer relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and transformation leaders.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture, enterprise-scale adoption, governance, security, integration, and modernization.
• Strong understanding of enterprise AI strategy, generative AI, agentic systems, data foundations, governance, security, and responsible adoption.
• Ability to translate technology strategy into business impact, investment choices, delivery economics, risk, and enterprise value.
• Established hyperscaler and platform-partner relationships, experience with matrix leadership, and a record of developing senior technology leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience with hybrid environments and AWS or Google Cloud.
• Prior CTO, CIO, Chief Architect, Distinguished Architect, VP of Engineering, enterprise, consulting, software-vendor, or hyperscaler experience.
• Experience with board-level settings, analyst briefings, regulated or distributed enterprises, and global or multicultural organizations.
