Market Vice President GTA, Commercial Banking

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; teams are located across Downtown Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, and Barrie. The work arrangement will include an agreed proportion of on-site and remote work.

What you will do

• Lead Commercial Banking teams across several Greater Toronto Area markets.
• Manage client relationships spanning agriculture and diversified industries, including complex credit and cash management needs.
• Drive revenue, deposit and credit growth, client acquisition, retention, and overall client experience.
• Oversee credit portfolio performance, deteriorating credit situations, expiries, and restructuring needs.
• Develop senior client relationships, transaction pipelines, account plans, pricing, and cross-sell opportunities.
• Coach, mentor, evaluate, and develop team leaders, individual contributors, and support staff.

Requirements

• Experience in financial analysis, financing options, financial modeling, financial advising, negotiation, and business development.
• Expert knowledge of commercial banking products, credit structuring, approval, monitoring, risk management, and portfolio management.
• Extensive experience managing complex and higher-risk relationships, including credit restructuring.
• Ability to lead large teams, direct financial modeling and analytics work, and develop people.
• Established profile in the local business community and knowledge of mid-market industries and corporate finance practices.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
