Facilities Technician (Life Sciences)

Location: West Sacramento, California, United States; on-site role

Salary: $26.00–$33.00 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Perform facility maintenance in response to service requests and emergency calls, including HVACR, plumbing, lighting, assembly, office tasks, and general repairs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
• Complete building repairs involving doors, flooring, drywall, painting, electrical fixtures, and plumbing systems.
• Work collaboratively with the facilities department, project managers, and facility managers.
• Help maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Several years of experience troubleshooting and repairing facilities or building equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, and breaker panels.
• Basic understanding of plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, and drains.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.

Nice to have

• Experience with building management and environmental monitoring systems.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints, technical schematics, and floor layouts.
