Engineering Specialist IV

Location: City of Industry, California, United States; onsite position with travel of up to 75%

Salary: $82,748.25–$128,043.30 per year. Basic relocation package available.

What you will do

• Apply industrial engineering and transportation operations expertise to support district and operational needs.
• Analyze problems using fact-based methods and develop effective, efficient solutions.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize workloads, and plan resources to meet deadlines and goals.
• Perform cost justification analysis and support material-handling and computer-aided-design activities.
• Explain complex or confidential information and deliver training or informational presentations.
• Travel as required, potentially up to 75%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics, science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 years of industrial or relevant engineering/district staff experience, or 4 years of combined Sort and P&D Manager experience.
• Software skills including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Working knowledge of Business Objects.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire, empower, and motivate a team.
