What you will do
- Coordinate customer-site logistics, waste management activities, pickups, transporters, and treatment, storage, and disposal facilities.
- Classify, sample, consolidate, prepare, and ship hazardous and non-hazardous waste for recycling or disposal.
- Prepare and verify hazardous-waste shipping paperwork, inventory materials, maintain waste profiles, and resolve profile issues.
- Complete customer-site inspections and audits while following site-specific safety and regulatory requirements.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments, forklifts, and other required equipment.
- Oversee subcontractor performance when required and coordinate with customers, sales representatives, transporters, and treatment facilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus a college-level science background or comparable work experience.
- In-depth hands-on knowledge of RCRA, EPA, and DOT regulations for hazardous-waste handling, packaging, transportation, and disposal.
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER training and completion of required customer-site and function-specific training.
- Ability to classify waste, operate industrial forklifts, use respiratory protection equipment, and maintain a good driving record.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, UVX, AS400, Access, and intermediate Excel.
- CDL license, respiratory fit testing, and Basic Plus training may be required depending on the assignment.
