GIS Tech Spec, Specialist (GIS)

Location: Hybrid role based in Pomona, California; employees must work and reside in California unless otherwise noted. Regular attendance at an SCE facility is required, with remote work available on remaining days.

Salary: $38.46–$57.60 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and update electric asset records in GIS source systems such as SAP.
• Interpret and analyze geospatial data, generate operations maps, and maintain facilities maps and GIS records.
• Perform data quality checks, remediation, validation, and documentation updates to improve asset data integrity.
• Evaluate potential project sites and support construction activities through field investigations and GPS data collection.
• Help develop quality-control tracking tools, mapping procedures, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and protect sensitive customer, company, and cybersecurity data.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in GIS and/or data analysis.
• Ability to work safely and independently and complete assigned responsibilities.
• Must work and reside in California; the role uses a hybrid work mode with reporting to an SCE facility.
• Ability to interpret geospatial and mapping information and perform data quality analysis.
• Ability to maintain accurate technical records and follow data protection and integrity standards.

Nice to have

• Experience reading work order maps, field notes, civil drawings, land descriptions, survey drawings, or similar materials.
• Experience with relational databases or SAP.
• Project management experience, including requirements gathering, planning, coordination, and deadline tracking.
• Ability to create technical documentation and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis on Data Analytics.
