Millwright/Heavy-Duty Mechanic - RIPET

Location: Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada; full-time onsite. Monday to Thursday schedule with four 10-hour workdays per week.

Salary: $70.53 per hour under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

AltaGas operates the RIPET Facility and provides industrial energy infrastructure and maintenance operations.

What you will do

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain compressors, pumps, piping, bearings, valves, filters, rail and offloading equipment, air coolers, vehicles, firewater systems, motors, and marine loading equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot daily plant issues.
• Use Maximo maintenance software and support maintenance planning.
• Coordinate suppliers and service providers and support procurement of maintenance parts and equipment.
• Install instrument tubing and small-diameter pressure piping.
• Work with Operations and other tradespeople while maintaining facility organization, inventory, and cleanliness.

Requirements

• Red Seal Journeyman Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic certification.
• At least 5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
• Experience with Maximo and maintenance planning.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong safety awareness and communication skills.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
