Engineering Manager

Location: Remote, with worksite and hubs in San Francisco, United States, and Toronto, Canada

Base salary: $289,182.00 per year; 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday

What you will do

• Lead the full software development lifecycle across planning, architecture, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Define multi-year product roadmaps and technical strategies for the Data Sharing and integrations ecosystem.
• Direct the design and evolution of distributed, service-oriented backend systems using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Architect secure, scalable integration solutions using REST, SOAP, and Bulk API protocols for enterprise data synchronization.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, scalability, security, high availability, and database integrity.
• Recruit, mentor, and coach engineers while coordinating technical strategy with product, design, operations, QA, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Five years of progressive post-degree experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
• Experience leading integration engineering projects spanning architecture, estimation, development, testing, delivery, and rollout.
• Strong experience with Python, Django, databases, SQL, distributed systems, and enterprise-grade or web-scale platforms.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, and Bulk API protocols, secure data synchronization, and high-performance backend architectures.
• Experience with peer code reviews, engineering standards, roadmap definition, mentoring, and technical training.
