Senior Software Developer (JavaScript/TypeScript)

What you will do

• Design and architect complex frontend applications, components, and scalable UI systems for geoscience data visualization.
• Build, test, document, and maintain frontend features with modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks.
• Develop backend services, RESTful APIs, and data-integration layers supporting visualization workflows.
• Create reusable UI components and prototypes across UI and service layers.
• Apply accessibility, security, performance, automated testing, and full-stack engineering practices.
• Lead design and code reviews, mentor developers, and coordinate with UX, backend, visualization, QA, and product partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Seven or more years of software development experience, with a strong frontend or full-stack focus.
• Advanced JavaScript and TypeScript experience with complex web applications and modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
• Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, state management, component-based design, browser capabilities, and web-performance optimization.
• Experience designing backend services and RESTful APIs, as well as build tools, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage technical risks, communicate design decisions, mentor colleagues, and collaborate across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D graphics, WebGL, Three.js or CesiumJS, high-performance rendering, or large datasets.
