Audit Manager (Capital Markets)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 2 days per week on-site plus the last Friday of every month on-site

What you will do

• Lead and participate in large, complex audits across Capital Markets.
• Identify business processes, inherent risks, and control environments.
• Plan and execute risk-based audit activities and assess control design and operating effectiveness.
• Identify control weaknesses, evaluate their severity and business impact, and prepare audit reports.
• Work with business management to develop practical action plans for risk mitigation.
• Improve audit guidelines, practices, efficiency, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in audit, accounting, or equivalent work.
• In-depth understanding of Capital Markets businesses, products, risks, processes, and controls.
• Fundamental understanding of Capital Markets Trading, Sales, and Compliance.
• Strong analytical, investigative, communication, relationship-building, and judgment skills.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• CPA, CFA, CIA, or equivalent professional designation or certification.
