Senior Internal Auditor

Location: Remote, Ontario, Canada

What you will do

• Support organization-wide risk assessments and develop risk-based internal audit plans.
• Assess internal control design and operating effectiveness with management.
• Execute financial, IT general controls, operational, compliance, and internal control over financial reporting audits.
• Document work plans, testing results, conclusions, recommendations, and audit reports for leaders, management, and the Audit Committee.
• Coordinate remediation reviews, monitor accounting policy and control framework compliance, and support external audits.
• Lead, coach, and review the work of other team members while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• CPA or equivalent accounting designation required; CIA or CISA is an asset.
• At least 3 years of progressive internal or external audit experience.
• Experience with accounting principles, financial systems, enterprise risk management, and internal control best practices.
• Experience working in a global business with multiple currencies and time zones.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage demanding schedules and deadlines.

Nice to have

• IT audit and audit analytics experience.
• Software industry experience.
