Senior Manager Accounting (Renewable Energy)

Location: Longueuil, Quebec, Canada (hybrid). The position is based at the headquarters near Longueuil–Université de Sherbrooke metro station.

What you will do

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, sales tax returns, and financial statements.
• Coordinate audit files and annual tax return preparation.
• Participate in budgeting, financial analysis, special projects, and ad hoc organizational requests.
• Maintain internal controls and improve accounting processes and financial systems in collaboration with IT.
• Supervise, recruit, onboard, train, and develop accounting professionals.

Requirements

• French and English bilingualism is required, both spoken and written.
• A minimum of 8–10 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, internal controls, and accounting processes.
• Ability to lead and support a team of accounting professionals.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model from the Longueuil headquarters.
