Senior Environmental Health And Safety Engineer

Location: Onsite in Alexandria, Minnesota, United States. Travel may include up to 10% domestic travel. Relocation may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Expected compensation: $124,127–$151,710 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead environmental, health, and safety programs and maintain compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and hirify.global requirements.
• Interpret federal, state, and local environmental requirements and implement them at the site.
• Prepare, review, and submit environmental permits and regulatory reports.
• Lead environmental performance improvement projects and assess changes to processes, equipment, and chemistry.
• Act as the site environmental expert, communicate project status, and collaborate with internal auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Strengthen EHS culture, behaviors, and accountability across the workforce.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in science, engineering, environmental, health, or safety.
• At least five years of environmental, health, or safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship is required.
• Experience working with environmental standards, permits, reports, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work onsite in Alexandria, Minnesota and travel domestically up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant science, engineering, environmental, health, or safety discipline.
• Eight or more years of environmental, health, or safety experience in manufacturing.
• CHMM, QEP, CIH, or CSP certification.
• Experience implementing comprehensive EHS management systems.
• Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.
