(USA) Senior, Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas, United States; hybrid work with primary in-office presence

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Own delivery of scoped software features and models through collaborative engineering teams.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across multiple programming languages.
• Integrate AI/ML components and use generative AI tools to improve software capabilities and development efficiency.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions; participate in code reviews and apply engineering best practices.
• Drive CI/CD, automated testing, performance monitoring, defect resolution, and high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, mentor peers, and contribute to continuous engineering improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive software development experience with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, or C++.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, documentation-based coding, debugging, code review, and CI/CD.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools.
• Technical judgment in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 3 years of software engineering experience, or 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
