Pipeline Controller

Location: Findlay, Ohio. The role is based at the Operations Center, and employees must live within 60 minutes of the assigned Operations Center within 12 months of hire.

What you will do

• Monitor and control pipeline systems through computer-based interfaces and SCADA.
• Operate systems during start-ups, shutdowns, flow adjustments, product changes, and other routine activities.
• Communicate with field operations and third-party control rooms during operational changes and alarm investigations.
• Maintain pipeline systems according to schedules to support on-time customer product delivery.
• Recognize abnormal operating conditions, analyze relevant data, and direct personnel responses using established procedures.
• Build operational knowledge, suggest improvements, and support peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree completed by the time of hire, or a high school diploma/GED plus five years of Marathon experience.
• No prior experience is required.
• Basic PC skills.
• Ability to pass a color vision test.
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts rotating between days and nights, including every other weekend.
• Ability to remain at the Operations Center desk for the full shift, with reasonable breaks permitted between operational events or emergencies.
