Operator - LNG

Location: Onsite at the Elba Island LNG facility in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Work includes 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, call-in availability, extreme weather conditions, and travel as needed.

What you will do

• Monitor and control cryogenic equipment, compressors, pumps, vaporizers, storage tanks, generators, utilities, fire protection, hazard detection, and security systems.
• Start, stop, and operate engines, pumps, and related equipment while maintaining required operating parameters.
• Unload LNG ships, deliver natural gas to pipeline delivery points, and monitor product quality and processing performance.
• Assist with maintenance, repairs, construction, commissioning, operating procedures, project scopes, and work plans.
• Respond to abnormal and emergency conditions, identify safety and environmental concerns, and support safety and security programs.
• Coordinate with vessel crews, Coast Guard, Customs, agents, customers, outside agencies, and third-party contractors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of compressor, pump, gas processing, and liquid processing operations; mechanical aptitude with related equipment.
• Ability to analyze, adjust, and make minor repairs to compressors, pumps, and associated equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable Operator Qualifications, including gas detection, compressor operation, pipeline locating, leakage investigation, and valve maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to be insured by the company carrier, and eligibility to maintain a TWIC under USCG/DHS regulations.
• Ability to speak and understand English, work rotating shifts, perform physically demanding work, and complete a post-offer medical examination under PHMSA regulations.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Experience reading blueprints, P&IDs, and other diagrams.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high- or low-pressure systems.
