Terminal Operator - Queen City

What you will do

• Handle liquid chemicals and petroleum products through barge, tank, rail car, and tank truck transfers.
• Gauge elevated tanks, operate valves, and connect or disconnect hoses for product transfers.
• Inspect terminal equipment and facilities, perform heating and potential industrial boiler operations, and complete housekeeping duties.
• Conduct spill cleanup, label containers according to DOT regulations, and complete bills of lading and other documentation.
• Follow operating procedures, regulations, safety programs, training requirements, and supervisor instructions.
• Work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency assignments in a 24-hour operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with pipe wrenches, box wrenches, and similar tools.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, perform basic mathematics, write legibly, and work effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Ability to speak and understand English; must be able to obtain a TWIC card and pass a background check and drug screen.

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, traverse uneven or slippery surfaces, and withstand extreme weather conditions.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required in a 24-hour operation.
