Senior OCI Consultant

Location: 100% remote within the Continental United States

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and operate enterprise OCI landing zones, compartments, tenancy structures, networking topologies, and governance controls.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and OCI Resource Manager using version control, peer review, and automated validation.
• Operate OCI compute, storage, Kubernetes, and database services, including OKE, Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud, MySQL HeatWave, and Base Database.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automation using OCI DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Python, Bash, and Terraform.
• Implement observability, disaster recovery, business continuity, security controls, and ongoing OCI cost optimization.
• Advise application teams on OCI-native architecture, lead remediation of security findings, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of cloud engineering experience with strong hands-on OCI experience; the position listing specifies 6+ years of experience.
• Production experience with Terraform and solid knowledge of OCI compute, networking, storage, identity, and database services.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Python, and Bash.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, compliance, observability, incident response, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional certification.
• Experience operating Oracle Exadata Cloud or Autonomous Database at scale.
• Exposure to multi-cloud architectures across OCI and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with FinOps and regulated workloads on OCI.
