Laboratory Technologist III, iPSC & Advanced Cellular Models

Location: Farmington, Connecticut, United States; flexibility for evening, weekend, or holiday shifts may be required.

Pay range: $56,538–$94,658 per year.

What you will do

• Perform and monitor manual and automated workflows for iPSC expansion, cryopreservation, recovery, differentiation, advanced cellular models, and quality control.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory automation, liquid handlers, imaging systems, cell counters, incubators, cryogenic storage equipment, and related instrumentation.
• Review batch, process, and quality data; document deviations and failures; and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
• Manage work queues, materials, reagents, controls, cell banks, inventories, and equipment readiness.
• Execute transferred development protocols and provide feedback on reproducibility, automation compatibility, cycle time, failure modes, and readiness for routine use.
• Write and maintain controlled documents, train colleagues, and contribute to validation, qualification, process improvement, deviation investigation, and technology-transfer projects.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in biological sciences, biotechnology, laboratory science, or a closely related field; two additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least four years of relevant laboratory experience; six years is preferred.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency in mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
• Ability to independently execute standardized workflows, operate sophisticated laboratory equipment, maintain accurate records, and meet quality and productivity expectations.
• Experience with laboratory automation, liquid-handling equipment, high-throughput cell-culture systems, imaging platforms, or automated data-capture systems.
• Strong skills in data evaluation, deviation investigation, SOP and batch-record documentation, training, communication, organization, safety, and data integrity.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with iPSC culture, cryopreservation and recovery, differentiation, 3D culture, organoids, assembloids, or related advanced cellular models.
• Experience in document-controlled or quality-system environments.
