Trial Attorney - Insurance Defense, Los Angeles

Location: Hybrid role based at 655 North Central Avenue, Glendale, California, with designated in-office time; travel to job-related activities is required.

Salary: $150,000–$210,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive pay of up to 24% of base salary.

What you will do

• Manage insurance defense litigation and other legal assignments under Law Department guidelines.
• Develop trial strategies and manage case progress through all litigation phases.
• Attend and participate in trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings.
• Prepare and summarize reports related to legal proceedings.
• Maintain ownership of assigned files and coordinate case management activities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, or workers’ compensation.
• Recent trial experience with complex, high-exposure cases; first- or second-chair experience is highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law.
• Experience handling trials, mediations, and depositions, with strong file ownership and case management skills.
• Proficiency with electronic case files, case management systems, and document storage systems.
• Active California law license in good standing and immediate eligibility to work lawfully in the United States are required. hirify.global does not sponsor U.S. work opportunities.
