Forward Deployed Software Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Ohio, United States; hybrid work arrangement with travel to customer sites up to 40%

Salary: $130K–$170K per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical assistance with the implementation, usage, and development of ION.
• Work directly with customers to understand operational challenges and design tailored software solutions.
• Build custom web applications and process large-scale data for customer-facing use cases.
• Own end-to-end delivery of solutions, from concept through deployment, while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable code across the stack and debug issues affecting production teams.
• Collaborate with hirify.global engineers to improve the product based on customer feedback.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, physics, data science, or a related field.
• Experience shipping production-quality code.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments and own high-stakes projects end to end.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer sites.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment authorization is verified through Form I-9 and E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing experience, or experience as a product manager or lead engineer.
• Experience with Python and/or React with TypeScript.
• Experience or curiosity in using large-scale data to solve customer-facing problems.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.
