QA Analyst, Keeper App (Backend & Platform) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the US; hybrid work is available for candidates in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro areas. Qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

What you will do

• Design, document, and execute functional, regression, integration, backend, and REST API tests for EPM, Vault, and Admin Console.
• Validate MySQL queries, schema changes, relational data integrity, and backend workflows.
• Test performance, scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and security-sensitive functionality across distributed cloud environments.
• Use Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools for API validation and automated backend testing.
• Contribute automated API and backend coverage to CI and release workflows.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, Product, and QA colleagues to troubleshoot defects and maintain Jira, Confluence, and TestRail records.

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA or software testing experience focused on backend and API testing.
• Strong SQL skills and experience validating relational data.
• Hands-on experience with Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or similar API testing tools.
• Experience with backend automation, distributed cloud-hosted systems, and service-level testing; AWS experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of backend services, APIs, databases, client-server architecture, troubleshooting, and Agile development.
• Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Nice to have

• Java backend systems and microservices experience.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience.
• Performance testing with JMeter, Locust, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of secure testing, encryption, SAML, SCIM, cybersecurity, identity, or security-sensitive enterprise applications.
