Vice President, Product Management (Storage)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters

Salary: $284,000–$378,700 per year

What you will do

• Own the multi-year product roadmap across HDD, SSD, and emerging storage platforms for cloud, enterprise, consumer, and other markets.
• Lead Product Roadmap, Product Marketing, and Product Introduction organizations through senior director-level leaders.
• Drive product positioning, go-to-market strategy, customer engagement, competitive differentiation, and external industry representation.
• Lead demand planning, forecast accuracy improvement, supply allocation, and executive resolution of allocation conflicts.
• Develop the strategy and governance for long-term agreements with strategic enterprise and cloud customers.
• Represent product and commercial strategy at the executive level while partnering with R&D, Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, Manufacturing, and key customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management, commercial strategy, or storage technology, including at least 3 years at VP level or above.
• Experience leading senior directors and multifunctional organizations with enterprise-wide accountability.
• Proven ownership of the full product lifecycle, including roadmap definition, commercial execution, pricing, and customer delivery.
• Deep experience in demand planning and supply allocation within a hardware or technology company, plus experience with business cases, P&L drivers, revenue, and margin results.
• Willingness to travel internationally 25–30%, including to Asia-Pacific regions.

Nice to have

• Product management experience with HDD, SSD, NAND, or storage controllers.
• Familiarity with cloud hyperscaler procurement and supply chain structures, including AWS, Google, Microsoft, or Meta.
• Board or advisory experience with technology companies or academic institutions.
• Experience driving revenue growth or margin improvement through product strategy and commercial execution.
• Experience leading post-merger, post-split, or major business transformation initiatives.
