Director, Product Management - Enterprise Systems

Location: San Jose, California, United States; hybrid working environment with some in-office and in-person expectations.

Salary: 227,800–338,800 USD target salary range, based on On Target Earnings and including potential commission.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and coach product managers responsible for AFF systems and next-generation platform programs.
• Own the strategy, roadmap, positioning, lifecycle, and business outcomes for the AFF enterprise storage portfolio.
• Define multi-generation strategies for engineered systems with shared architectures across product lines.
• Drive new-product programs from requirements and qualification through launch, sustaining, generation transitions, and end of life.
• Translate customer, field, partner, competitive, adoption, mix, capacity, and economics insights into product and go-to-market decisions.
• Coordinate execution across engineering, supply chain, operations, finance, product marketing, and sales.

Requirements

• 12+ years of product management or technical product planning experience in enterprise infrastructure, storage, or related hardware and software domains.
• 5+ years of experience leading product managers or equivalent technical product teams.
• Ownership of a high-revenue hardware or systems product line, including roadmap, new product introduction, lifecycle, and business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of enterprise storage architectures, all-flash systems, file and block protocols, and modern data-center infrastructure.
• Experience defining next-generation systems with engineering and driving execution across supply chain, operations, finance, and go-to-market functions.
• Executive presence and ability to communicate complex platform and business tradeoffs to senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with hirify.global ONTAP or comparable unified storage platforms.
• Experience with storage economics, performance and capacity mix, and platform generation transitions.
• Experience positioning storage for AI, virtualization, mission-critical applications, and other enterprise workloads.
